A Visceral Feeling - Tyler
There is a sort of inspiring hymn that echoes throughout the universe for those willing to listen. It's rare to come across those who hear it, but I seem to have found six of them at once. As the youngest member of the crew, I'm curious to see what wisdom they’ve found in the years of life that I have yet to experience.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found myself meditating on the question of life's purpose. My efforts to make any sense of the matter have proved fruitless and I’m fairly certain that this will always be the case. Perhaps then, enlightenment resides in the depths of the mind; a space unlocked only by the most formidable of endeavors.
Some of my life’s finest moments have been found on the peaks of mountains, drenched in sweat, looking up to the sky as if there was more to scale. You begin to feel a sense of faith in the ability to bridge the boundaries of the human experience with the boundless kingdom of all else; the finite with the infinite. For that reason, I could not be more excited to embark on this journey.
I think Bukowski said it best in “Roll the Dice”:
“If you’re going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight into perfect laughter. It’s the only good fight there is.”
